Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

AM Local Garage Door & Gate Service wants every customer in the Sacramento area to be able to reach us, whatever device they use and however they navigate the web. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act and California law.

What we have done on this site

• Keyboard access. Everything you can do with a mouse can be done with a keyboard, including the projects carousel and the before/after slider (use the arrow keys). Focus is always visible as a bright outline, and a "Skip to main content" link is the first thing you reach.
• A control for movement. The page has a scrolling offers strip, a moving reviews strip and a carousel that advances on its own. A "Pause motion" button at the very top of every page stops all of it, and we remember your choice on your device. If your system is set to "reduce motion", we start paused automatically.
• Colour contrast. Text and interface colours were measured against their real backgrounds to meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required for body text.
• Screen readers. Pages use proper headings in order, landmark regions, descriptive text for every photograph, and clear labels on every button and link — including the icon-only call button.
• Touch and zoom. Buttons and links are sized for comfortable tapping, the layout works from small phones to large monitors, and you can zoom in without the page breaking or scrolling sideways.
• No traps. No pop-ups, no auto-playing sound or video, no time limits, and no flashing content.

Where we know we fall short

We would rather tell you than claim perfection:

• The before/after comparison and the projects carousel are visual by nature. Each photo has a written description, but the drag interaction itself is a visual experience. If you would like a job described to you, call us and we will walk you through it.
• We embed a font from Google Fonts. If that service is unavailable, pages fall back to your system fonts and stay fully readable, though the styling will differ.
• We have tested with keyboard navigation, browser zoom, reduced-motion settings and contrast measurement. We have not yet completed a full audit with every commercial screen reader, so issues may remain that we have not found.
