Who we are

AM Local Garage Door & Gate Service ("AM Local", "we", "us") is a garage door and entry gate service business operating in Sacramento, California and the surrounding area. You can reach us any time at (916) 664-7498.

Information we collect on this website

None. This site is made of static pages. We do not run analytics software, advertising pixels, session recording, chat widgets, embedded maps or any other third-party script that could observe you. We do not set cookies, and we do not use local storage to identify you.

The one thing this site stores in your browser is your animation preference — if you use the "Pause motion" button, we remember that choice on your own device so the page stays still on your next visit. It is a setting, not an identifier: it contains no personal information, it is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Like virtually every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical request data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) in its server logs for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.

Information you give us when you get in touch

The buttons on this site open your own phone or messaging app. Nothing is sent to us until you choose to send it. When you call or text us, we may keep:

• your name and phone number;
• your service address, so a technician can find the job;
• what you told us about the door, gate or opener; and
• notes, quotes and invoices related to the work.

We use that information to answer you, give you an estimate, schedule and perform the work, honor warranties, and keep our own business and tax records. That is all.

What we never do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information. We never have.
• We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• We do not send marketing texts or emails to people who have not asked for them.
• We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We share your details only with people who need them to complete your job — for example a parts supplier for a special-order door, or a payment processor if you pay by card — and with authorities where the law requires it.

Text messages

If you text us first, we will reply by text about your job. Message and data rates may apply through your own carrier. You can stop the conversation at any time by replying STOP or simply telling us to stop. We do not add you to any marketing list because you contacted us.

How long we keep things, and how we protect them

We keep job records for as long as we need them for warranty, accounting and legal purposes, then dispose of them. We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, though no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Your privacy choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just call or text (916) 664-7498, or email amlocalgaragedoor@gmail.com, and tell us what you would like. We will not treat you differently for asking.

California residents have specific rights under California privacy law, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — but the rights above are yours, and the phone number above is how to use them.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. Because we do not track visitors or serve targeted advertising at all, there is no tracking for those signals to switch off.

Changes to this policy

If we ever add a contact form, analytics or advertising tools to this website, we will update this page before or when we do, and change the date at the top.
